SEO consultancy : day rates, history / qualifications

** If you’d like more information about my rates or availability, you can contact me at talltroll@seoassassin.co.uk **

SEOassassin is my first blog (though it may not be my last). It covers several topics of interest to me, including SEO and affiliate marketing, to a lesser extent, plus stupid stuff which I regularly come across whilst doing SEO research in odd corners of the WWW.

I am now full time as an independent SEO consultant. I’ve been doing consultancy work on and off for a couple of years, and have been involved in SEO since 2001. I have currently manage a mix of long-term strategic contracts, and short-term, issue specific projects.

I started off at Webmasterworld, back in the days when you could read every post, every day (and if you’ve been there recently, you’ll know that dates me!). I’ve been drifting more and more into SEO ever since, with a side order of affiliate marketing, and a dash of PPC for dressing. I’ve also been priviliged to meet many of the top names in the industry, and attend some great events, like SEORoadshow, and PubCon. Until fairly recently, I was one of about half a dozen people in the world with a 100% attendance record for PubCon - the appearance of SmallTroll has curtailed my easy, globe-trotting lifestyle somewhat ;) and I’ve been too sleep-deprived to stand the legendary “bribe-the-bar-staff” sessions so beloved by RCJordan.

I’ve attended a few smaller, private events here in the UK, mostly organised through Syndk8 and A4U. Those are interesting for different reasons, you get to meet people outside of the “normal” SEO circles, which I believe is always a good idea. A considerable fraction of my recent clients have been affiliates, needing additional SEO support, or even just a second opinion.

In case you were wondering, I do currently have some time available for additional clients, or one-off projects. I offer SEO and affiliate marketing consultancy and training, both on-site, and report-based. On-site consulting is available by arrangement, in most areas of the UK. I also offer a telephone consulting service, charged by the hour at £30 / hour. I can make that available to international customers quite easily, so long as you don’t mind being invoiced in Sterling.

I normally charge between £500 - £1000 / day (depending on the exact nature of a given project). I can offer discounts for longer-term contractual commitments, or alternative remuneration options for people / companies with good ideas about how we can come to mutually benefical arrangements (equity deals, high quality links, service contra deals etc). I’m flexible, talk to me :)
