AdWords seem to be having “technical issues”

TallTroll | Everything Else | Friday, February 16th, 2007

Breaking news from A4U, large number of keywords across the entire system have been reset to a £5 bid, and made inactive.

This does seem to be a genuine problem, not just another wave of “quality score adjustments”. To quote the original poster :

This is not the usual Quality issue as my agency actually spoke to some Google reps directly who admitted there are technical issues.

Is anyone else seeing the effects of this?

  1. Don’t scare me like that. I just took a peak and have no issues with my account. Is this a UK only bug?

  3. Yes I am also seeing this - I was too busy to worry about doing something about it today, but will be checking again Monday.

  4. Was asked by someone about that earlier - had assumed it was quality score related. Didn’t know it was so widespread.

  5. Same here, from UK and I set up a new campaign with no ads showing on 20 key phrases. all started at £.05 then jumped to £5.00!

Will wait to see what happens… day light robbery!
